Let me know if you have any other questions, happy to help.Ĭlick to expand. Before the first repack I did ~6000km. If the stock exhaust was good at something other than being ugly it was good at hiding the decel pops. I added a Lloyd's timing wheel late last year and noticed that it helped with the more apparent decel pops that the exhaust only magnified. They were a normal colour and not worn negatively. I don't have a tuner installed and when re-gapping and cleaning my plugs this spring there was nothing out of the ordinary. Adding this exhaust + a K&N air filter + removing the 02 sensors hasn't negatively affected the way the bike runs.

The heat guards come loose on the regular and the clamps must be tightened/inspected on the regular. Never ridden in salt or anything but sun and rain. They started happening within 3 months of installing them. The heat guards are rusting through the paint. Repacking made it better however the sound is worsening again. The factory packing burned away and the exhaust sound/volume/tone suffered. I've had to repack the baffle once already and it sounds like I will have to do it again soon. Still enjoying the exhaust but its not without its issues. Let me know if you have any questions! I'm happy to answer them. Running at low speeds at low RPM is less "chunky" and jerky. "Blipping" before releasing the clutch seems to avoid the worst of the popping.īike performance is much smoother. The bike still pops when decelerating but I am learning to curb how I decelerate to avoid it. Idle sounds aggressive and louder, just perfect. I am proud of the tone, exactly what I wanted my bike to sound like.
BASSANI ROAD RAGE 2 INTO 1 FULL
Good thing I wear a full face, it's far less apparent that way. When accelerating and under load it sounds GREAT, but it's loud. Welds and finish are quality, packaging and packing was fantastic too.Īs mentioned, LOUD. More clearance everywhere than before (IE near oil cooler, right peg, etc). Pipes fit perfectly and are actually better fitted than stock. So, the installation isn't tough, just takes time. Eventually I just stopped using them and did it on my own. I read them through many times before starting the installation and there were many details missed/omitted/unclear. Removing the stock mufflers was the toughest part and that just took some time and elbow grease. Not a tough install, just took time to get it right and to line everything up ensuring there was clearance everywhere. Not TOO loud, but, I feel as though it's going to disturb my rural neighbours. Volume The exhaust is louder than I anticipated and than I wanted.I cannot get the belt to stop whining (too loose and it slaps, tighten enough to stop slapping and it whines) but now I can't hear it whining. So now the exhaust drowns out everything. Volume My personal preference is hearing the exhaust on a bike as opposed to the engine noise and belt noise.(Please note I also have an K&N air filter installed, so, air supply is not an issue). I will not be tuning the bike because of how it's running and because of how rich things are. You can feel it and smell it the bike runs cooler and the exhaust smells like it should. O2 sensors removed, the bike is running much richer than before. Those stock mufflers are ridiculously heavy. Dropped a good 30-40 pounds off the bike's weight.Clearance on the right rear of the bike I got an extra 3-4 inches of clearance.I installed the Bassani Road Rage 2 into 1 exhaust on my 2015 Gunner a few days ago.
